About Methi Ladu

Methi ladu belongs to winter. In many Indian homes it appears the week the mornings turn cold, made in one large batch and rationed out one a day. Fenugreek is not a shy ingredient — the bitterness is the point, softened but never hidden by ghee and jaggery-sweet warmth.

We keep the coarse, seedy texture rather than grinding it smooth, and top each ladu with slivered almond and pistachio. It is a grown-up ladu: earthy, warming and slightly bitter at the finish.

If you have been searching for methi ke laddu that taste like your grandmother made them and not like a factory, start here.
